Kiln formed glass city

City at Night

The relationship that people have with the dark of night and the light we produce to illuminate our private and public spaces, as seen from the street, came to mind almost immediately. Each light seen in the city at night is a sign of life, of people with lives and dreams of their own which light the spaces they are in. The City at Night Light ambient table lamp seeks to bring this sensation of wonder into the world through the transformative power of light, colour and glass. The lamp features interchangeable colored glass castings on single, 2x2 and 3x3 lighting mounts.

Altars

This series of sculptures blends traditional glassmaking with contemporary techniques like 3D printing and digital drawing. Using bold, architectural forms, such as concentric arches and layered steps, the pieces explore themes of perception, truth, and the shifting relationship between viewer and object. The vibrant transparency of the glass plays with light and shadow, creating a constant interplay of revealing and concealing. These works emphasize the fluid nature of understanding, as the observer's perspective transforms their experience of the sculpture’s form, depth, and meaning.

Abstract Minimalism

The transparency of cast glass allows light to pass through and refract, emphasizing the balance between interior and exterior spaces. Negative space is just as important, highlighting the interplay between presence and absence.

In its abstract minimalism, the piece distills complex geometries into a pure visual form, inviting contemplation of structure, fluidity, and perception. The optical qualities of the glass symbolize fragility and strength, while the intersection of sharp lines and soft curves becomes a meditation on the boundaries of geometry and abstraction.
